Q:  Looking to redecorate family room, but want to use feng shui to do it, and possibly other room(s) to follow depending on costs.    Hope to use some of what we have without breaking the bank.

A:  Based on the purpose/intention of the family room, it is good to decorate it with family portraits, children’s art, family memorabilia and any item(s) that for you symbolize a happy family.

Based on the location of the room inside the house you should also use or include in the decoration materials and colors that are compatible with that sector of the house, according to the five Chinese elements theory.
